Rob Bancroft was born in North Carolina and raised in Nashville, TN.

As a child, Rob loved to draw, filling the blank pages of his school notebooks with imagined figures. In his thirties his love for art was rekindled by his wife's artistic pursuits. With her encouragement and his deep curiosity, Rob began teaching himself how to paint. As a self-taught painter and illustrator, he has exhibited and sold his work through small, private showings, in multiple gallery exhibitions, commissioned work and licensed his paintings/illustrations for printed textiles.

Rob’s work focuses heavily on people and relationships and is influenced by a love of storytelling.
